As a seasoned executive, Rob has a proven track record of hiring and developing specialist recruitment professionals, transforming them into industry leaders in niche vertical markets. His career passions include client acquisition and retention, value creation, effective communication, behaviour role-modelling, team development, relationship cultivation, and fostering collaboration and partnership.
From a direct recruitment perspective, Rob has extensive experience and networks recruiting across commercial audiology, optics and medtech markets, both in the UK and across the globe. He has successful partnered with hundreds of client organisations, supporting the placement of thousands of candidates into medical technology markets.
Matt Civil
Founding Connected Search Group in October 2023 with Rob, Matt brings a wealth of experience in recruitment with a diverse candidate and client network that spans regionally, nationally, and internationally. Matt has built a reputation as a trusted partner for businesses seeking Accountancy & Finance talent, consistently placing candidates in roles at all levels including graduates, part qualified, qualified and C-Suite professionals.
In his previous employer, Matt progressed quickly, with 3 promotions in as many years resulting in him becoming a Business Manager, before setting up his own successful recruitment business in early 2022, recruiting across multiple sectors. With a deep understanding of the Accountancy & Finance sector and a substantial regional network, Matt is dedicated to delivering excellence for clients and candidates alike. He is passionate about client acquisition, relationship building, team development, and cultivating a high-performing culture within the business.
Outside of work, Matt enjoys spending time with his family, playing golf, and staying fit.
Lewis Carr
Lewis brings a competitive edge and a unique perspective to executive search, shaped by years of experience in professional sport and recruitment. He transitioned from a career in Football into executive search, driven by a passion for business growth and a talent for spotting high-performance potential in people and teams.
Since joining the industry, Lewis has successfully placed candidates across Tech, Sales, Marketing, Corporate, and Operations roles, partnering with global clients in the Medical Device, Health Tech, Sports, and Technology sectors. His approach is built on transparency, strategic thinking, and a strong belief in setting realistic expectations for both clients and candidates.
Lewis also draws on extensive coaching and mentoring experience, helping businesses and individuals grow, whether in fast-paced start-ups or established corporate environments.
Outside of work, Lewis continues to play semi-professional football and enjoys spending time with his family. He is passionate about building long-term partnerships and supporting the growth of Connected’s presence in the Medtech and Health innovation space.

With a background in med-tech and pharmaceutical recruitment, Sophia partners with science-led businesses across the UK and Europe to find and attract the talent that drives progress, from technical experts to quality and regulatory leaders.
She has built a strong track record delivering on critical hires across R&D, manufacturing, QA and regulatory affairs, supporting both high-growth start-ups and established global organisations.
